The Pattaya Classical Guitar Festival and Competition is to be held in the south of the Thai city on October 29th 2011.

PATTAYA, THAILAND, October 05, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Pattaya travellers can enjoy some high-quality performances by local guitarists at the Pattaya Classical Guitar Festival and Competition this October.

Organised by the Thailand Guitar Society, in association with Pattaya People Media Group, the third annual event will be held on October 29th 2011 in the south of the city from 09:00 local time onwards.

Performers from across Thailand will be joined by international musicians to take part in a packed schedule of concerts and competitions, commencing with classical guitar contests for adults and juniors at 09:30.

This will be followed at 13:00 by an exhibition of top-quality instruments, before the concert portion of the festival kicks off at 14:00 with a performance by Thailand Guitar Society Students.

Further recitals will take place throughout the day, culminating with the International Guitar Night concert at 20:00, which will see performances by musicians from Europe, Asia and the US.

Tickets to the event cost 500 baht (GBP10.30) for adults and 400 baht for students, with this price including a coffee break and soft drink between 15:00 and 18:00, while those aged below 12 can attend for free.
