Some of Liverpool FC's greatest ever players will be taking part in a charity football event in Phuket.

PHUKET, THAILAND, August 02, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Visitors to Phuket will be able to watch some of Liverpool FC's most famous players competing in the forthcoming Football Legends Tour 2011.
 
A charity-based project designed to raise money for the Phuket Youth Football Home Foundation, the event will see Liverpool greats from the past three decades competing against some of Thailand's top footballers.
 
Managed by championship-winning former left back Alan Kennedy and Sky Sports regular Phil Thompson, the Legends of Liverpool Team 2011 will include old favourites such as John Barnes, Robbie Fowler, Steve McManaman, Sami Hyypia and Jan Molby.
 
The Prime Ministers Football Legends Charity Cup match will take place at Thanyapura Sports & Leisure Club in the Thalang District on October 2nd 2011.
 
Gates will open at 15:00 local time on match day, with kick-off scheduled for 18:00.
 
It will be preceded by a community football clinic at the same location the previous day, while a meet and greet event involving the Liverpool legends will be held on September 30th.
