Empire of the Sun will play in Bali next month, bringing their unusual stage gear and catchy tunes to the Potato Head Beachclub.

BALI, INDONESIA, July 27, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Hit Australian electro-pop duo Empire of the Sun will play at Bali's Potato Head Beachclub next month.
 
Taking the stage on Friday August 19th, the award-winning partnership of Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore will play hits such as We Are The People and Standing On The Shore.
 
Both singles are taken from their debut album Walking On A Dream, which is the only studio LP recorded by the pair since getting together in 2006.
 
Their catchy yet inventive sound has won them plenty of fans across the world, as has their unusual stage gear, which resembles the wardrobe and make-up worn by 1980s pop star Adam Ant.
 
While Empire of the Sun may bring to mind the JG Ballard novel and Steven Spielberg film of the same name, the duo have insisted their moniker has nothing to do with the story.
 
The history between Steele and Littlemore, who were introduced to each other by their record label EMI, has been somewhat tumultuous, but they have claimed there has been no falling out and a new album is in the works.
