Paris encourages budding film-makers to create their own piece of cinema.

PARIS, FRANCE, June 29, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Since it began in 2002, Festival Silheoutte in Paris has sought to draw attention to the art of the short film.

This year, from August 27th to September 4th, work will be shown in Parc des Buttes Chaumont in the North West of the city, as well as arts centre CentQuatre next door to Gare de l'Est.

Applications have already closed for entries this year, with would-be film makers submitting their entries in the hope that their work will be showcased this summer.

As the event celebrates its tenth birthday, film making beginners of all ages are invited to participate in enlightening workshops on the art form, and can look forward to producing their own short film at the end of the process.
