The Bangkok International Soccer 7s takes place on June 25th and 26th.

BANGKOK, THAILAND, June 04, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Any teams entering the Bangkok International Soccer 7s can expect a real challenge, as sides travel from all over the world to compete in the tournament.

Taking place on June 25th and 26th, the event does not offer any sort of monetary reward, so it is purely for the love of the game that clubs take part.

The 2011 edition marks the fifth time that the competition has been held and it will feature two categories; open men and over-35s masters.

Some lucky players may even get the chance to face off against well known ex-professionals at the Vichupa Ramintra venue.

Michael Rummenigge, Patrick Cubaynes, Tim Bredbury, Torsten Kracht and Sebastian Perez are among the more famous names to have taken part in the past.

On the event's official website, the organisers said: "The philosophy of the Thailand International Soccer 7s is to combine sport and leisure for all people from any country through friendly seven-a-side tournaments."

They went on to note that individual players may be able to join a team if they get in touch in advance.
