SEVILLE, SPAIN, May 19, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dancer and choreographer Rafael Amargo is set to perform at Seville's Teatro Lopez de Vega for the first time in his career this month.

He will bring his Solo y Amargo show to the Andalusian city on May 24th and he will have a sizeable band with him.

Amargo will be joined by a flutist, guitarist, pianist, accordion player, cellist and percussionist, as well as a selection of singers.

The performance will be around one hour long, with the organisers claiming it will be one of his most personal and intimate productions.

His dance style is essentially a fusion of flamenco and more modern types of movement.

Solo y Amargo translates as 'alone and bitter'. It is the tenth major show created by the Spaniard, many of which have been recognised with awards.

His most famous work is perhaps El Amor Brujo, for which he won the best male dance performance prize from the Premios Max de las Artes Escenicas.

Tickets for the show cost EUR21 (GBP18.30), with the action due to get started at 21:00 local time.
