LateRooms.com - Superstudio Launches in Rome
An exhibition entitled Superstudio has been launched at Rome's MAXXI arts facility.

ROME, ITALY, April 23, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The MAXXI gallery in Rome has launched its Superstudio project, an exploration of contemporary design and architecture.

It is available to view until July 10th 2011 and features 20 works, including drawings, collages and lithographs.

Superstudio is an organisation established in the 1960s that went on to become a respected voice in the avant-garde scene.

The pieces that form the collection at the MAXXI were recently acquired by the arts institution and cover various projects in Italy.

In a statement, the venue remarked: "The works are accompanied by a video realised by Superstudio as part of the work on the Fundamental Acts, a research into the very roots of architecture and more specifically the architectural behaviour of man in various cultures."

Entrance to the MAXXI costs EUR11 (GBP9.65), although concessions are available.

The facility is open from Tuesday to Sunday between 11:00 and 19:00 local time, except for Thursday and Saturday, when the building closes at 22:00.
